I don’t think we could go wrong with him or RG3. I didn’t do an actual count, but of those teams that took a WR in round one the last 2 years, many made it into the playoffs. It’s a chicken Vs egg kind of thing….offensively we are probably more like KC than Detroit. Could we get him the rock or not?

I wouldn’t mind seeing Blackmon on this team with this guy and this playcalling:

Also, the second and third throws in that video you posted are awful. One should have been intercepted and the other was a straight jump ball.
Brady Quinn had a couple great games too.

But both were accurate. To the receiver. All i’m wondering is if we got Blackmon, now do we have an open guy under those throws?

Neither were accurate, and neither should have been thrown in the first place. The point of a QB isn’t just to throw it wherever and hope you have a guy open, it’s to find the open guy.

I kinda think Stuckey should have made the adjustment on the second throw. Also, McCoy is in his third game here. My question on this thread is, does Blackmon make this team better?

Not if we can’t get him the ball.

Exactly. I wish I knew how to give McCoy a big shot of confidence. Hopefully we’ll hear something from him on whether he is “broken” before the draft.

I don’t think it’s confidence. I also don’t ever think you would hear anyone affiliated with the team tell you he is broken. I think Colt McCoy just isn’t very good at quarterback. He could get better, sure. But that’s something we hope for, not something we know.

The throw to Moore was pretty good. Moore was getting that or no one was. It was back shoulder, and outside away from the defender. I wish Colt would do this more.
What he can’t do is what he did in the throw you were talking about to Stuckey, where the back shoulder lob actually ended up inside and underneath—exactly where the CB’s leverage was.

That kind of makes the case to improve right side blocking and the rushing game. 59 rush yards to 290. Both games this year the right side was an open door. I see three sacks there but I’m curious to know how many times he was hit, pressured or flushed out of the pocket.

How many times did he hold on to the ball for 8 seconds?

I’m not sure. Chicken/egg. I’m guessing at least three times….but I don’t think it takes the Ravens D 8 seconds to get anywhere. You guys will love my fan post.
