Jeff Fisher: Pulling a Mike D'Antoni
A few years back Mike D'Antoni was basically allowed to choose between his coaching job of the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks. He ended up picking the Knicks for a variety of reasons but it ended up backfiring on him in a way because just a few weeks after he took the New York job the Bulls moved up big time in the draft lottery from something like 8th to 1st and were able to select Derrick Rose who was the point guard D'Antoni so coveted. It's obviously speculation but I believe D'Antoni privately would have taken the Bulls job if he had just waited a few weeks.
Fast forward to this summer and Jeff Fisher takes charge of the Rams rather than the Dolphins. For his personal reasons it was a logical choice. But, now the Colts job is open with the best quarterback prospect in years looking like he'll be a Colt. And now the Indianapolis job is open. I'm not here saying the Colts would have hired Fisher and given him the GM title as well like he wanted. And sure, they hired some new GM already anyways. But, did Fisher rush his decision instead of waiting a week to see if Indianapolis would have given him a look?
I personally think that if Indy would have given him the things he was seeking then it definitely is a more desirable choice. I believe he's full steam ahead with St. Louis currently but if the Colts one had opened up just a few days early he wouldn't actually have moved to Missouri.
Will Andrew Luck make Jeff Fisher regret not waiting another week?

No, becaus ethat whole team needs an enema and to get blown up. Total rebuild, especially if Manning is traded (he should be to get some value out of him) and if they are smart, trade Luck to some team willing to kill off a year and part of the next to draft him. Take all of those picks and do a total rebuild from the studs on up.

You’re kidding, right? Not only do you want them to trade away one of the best QBs of all time (which is actually not a terrible idea), but you want them to get rid of his replacement too (this one is the terrible idea). You want a team doing a rebuild to get rid of the most important piece?

A rebuild would almost certainly mean trading Mathis and Freeney away to get picks. Which would be absurd.
