I don't know how likely it is that we land some of these guys, but what struck me is that a lot of them could possibly be acquired for draft picks and/or players. We've got draft picks to give.

Ben Tate, Jonathan Stewart, Darren McFadden, and AJ Hawk are guys that I thought might be nice. I don’t think I could see DMC getting traded, but the other guys might be worth looking into.

I think Oakland will eventually have to let go of DMC or Bush. I don’t think they would want to pay both of them what they will most likely want. I would take either of them, I think it will be Bush that ends up going, though.

Bush is a FA this offseason.

i wish golden taint was available. because he had the best name ever.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

I wouldn’t trade picks when there are free agents.

So, it seems everyone wants a new QB, I’m not gonna argue that here. How about maybe picking up a QB that was actually doing quite decent, till injury hit him. I’m throwing jason campbells name into the hat. He’s gonna be a free agent and really was showing a crap ton more life in oakland than he ever showed in Washington. He’s taller than McCoy and has a stronger arm ( I will admit that), and isn’t a career backup QB.

This is something to possibly explore, as a stop gap at best maybe, and enables us to keep all our picks and could improve not only our QB play but could improve our ability to trade down in the draft.

If we were going to go the “stop-gap” route, I would rather see us send Colt out there again.

Sure expectations would be low, but maybe we could gold and he would play great. I don’t see much value in bringing in Campbell.

I should mention that I think Campbell is underrated though.

You think everyone is underrated.

Campbell is as average as they come

You think everyone is underrated.

this is completely nonsensical, even for you.

No, Joe Haden is overrated.

I heard the dude sucks.

by Bernie19Kosar on Jan 30, 2012 10:39 AM EST up reply actions

And you inversely think everyone is overrated.

I’m of this opinion as well.

I would prefer Campbell to Colt, but ideally we would pursue Luck or Griffin. But I wouldn’t be sad at all over Campbell and just because he’s more of a known quantity, may like him more than Flynn or Kolb. Have to see about that shoulder though.
