Could Robert Griffin III be Equal to or better than Andrew Luck?
I have been hearing about how Andrew Luck is the best Prospect since Peyton Manning and John Elway. And Luck is as close to a cant miss prospect as there is coming into the NFL. I don't doubt that Luck will be a top 10 QB in the league but if that is the case what about RG3? Everyone argument is that Luck is more of a sure thing but when you look into the numbers RG3 is about equal or better in every category that matters.
Career Passing Comp Att Ptc Yards Td Int
Robert Griffin III 800 1,192 67.1 10,366 78 17
Andrew Luck 713 1,064 67.0 9,430 82 22
Career Rushing Att Yards Td
Robert Griffin III 528 2,257 33
Andrew Luck 163 957 7
Griffin III has progressed in each of his seasons at Baylor. He is very accurate withe the football and has one of the best Deep balls in College Football and his potential is just as high if not higher than Andrew Luck. Both are excellent students and graduated early and both are high character guys and RG3 adds the extra weapon of his legs, but why does Luck get all the attention as a can't-miss prospect and RG3 doesn't? I think it would be a steal to trade up to get RG3 cause it will not cost you as much in draft picks as it would Luck and he will be just as productive if not more.

Stats lie. I don’t watch much college football but I’m pretty sure if Griffin was as good as Luck we would be hearing about it. How does Colt compare to these two? or for that matter, how do some of the biggest busts compare stat-wise? I’m all for taking Griffin but I’m not expecting much more than what we have in Colt.
Stats do lie but so do the espn hype machine, and all you have heard for the last 2 years is how great Andrew Luck is and how he is a can’t miss prospect but he was not the best player in college football. And you have to watch the games to get a feel for a guy to see how he converts 3 and 10 or how he make the big plays watch the whole second half of Oklahoma @ Baylor this year and see if RG3 has the it factor?
