Week 4 UDBNFL Review

8 Simmsinns (Jon Stinchcomb) 104.90 vs 12 Stig-o-sauruseseses (Stigosaurus) 103.16

Summary: Stig-o-sauruseseses RBs let him down again as he loses a close one to Tom Brady and Simmsinns.

Game High Points: Tom Brady 32.0 (Simmsinns)

Surprise of the Game: Alfred Morris had a strong game with 16.9 points for Simmsinns.

Most Disappointing Performance: Fred Jackson and Daniel Thomas of Stig-o-sauruseseses combined for only 6.9 points. Maurice Jones-Drew only scored 8.0 points for Simmsinns.

Notables: Jacquizz Rodgers had enough points from the bench to have changed the outcome of the game. Stig-o-sauruseseses is the last remaining team without a win.

1 WV Brownies (Kimble_79) 90.42 vs 4 Now I’m Done (StuckInPa) 115.12

Summary: WV Brownies suffers its first loss of the season at the hands of Now I’m Done and Marshawn Lynch.

Game High Points: Peyton Manning 25.42 (Now I’m Done)

Surprise of the Game: Marshawn Lynch scored 21.5 points and Connor Barth added 15 more for Now I’m Done.

Most Disappointing Performance: WV Brownies was certainly expecting more than 5.4 points from Calvin Johnson.

Notables: This game could have been even more lopsided had Now I’m Done not benched Jason Witten and his 17.2 points. WV Brownies started Greg Little who scored a respectable 7.5 points despite Browns fans everywhere cursing his name for dropping a TD pass.

2 Patty’s Battlers (FrenchToast979) 106.64 vs 6 Midway Mayhem (The New Kardiac Kids) 141.66

Summary: Midway Mayhem rode a combined 80+ points from Matt Ryan, Roddy White, and SF Def to a win over Drew Brees, Steven Ridley, and Patty’s Battlers.

Game High Points: Drew Brees 29.84 (Patty’s Battlers)

Surprise of the Game: SF Def scored 29.0 points as they shut out the Jets. Roddy White scored 28.9 in a close win over the Panthers.

Most Disappointing Performance: Tight ends were a non-factor in this game, as Martellus Bennett (Patty’s Battlers) scored 0.2 points and Dennis Pitta (Midway Mayhem) was held scoreless.

Notables: Despite having the high score for the week, Midway Mayhem still had more points on the bench. Only two other teams scored more points than Patty’s Battlers this week. Stevan Ridley scored 22.6 points for Patty’s Battlers.

3 Brownie the Elf (emily522) 62.26 vs 7 RandallPFloyd QB (Bross09) 97.04

Summary: Strong games from Jamaal Charles and Eli Manning were not enough to life Brownie the Elf over Michael Turner, Chi Def, and RandallPFloyd QB.

Game High Points: Chi Def 24.0 (RandallPFloyd QB)

Surprise of the Game: 24 points from a defense is a surprise, but so is 23.1 points from Michael Turner.

Most Disappointing Performance: Julio Jones only scored 3 points and Brandon LaFell didn’t score for Brownie the Elf. Hakeem Nicks didn’t play, leaving a 0 on RandallPFloyd QB’s score.

Notables: Both Joe Flacco (Brownie the Elf) and Torrey Smith (RandallPFloyd QB) were left on the bench as they put up solid points against the Browns defense.

5 130lbs of Kosar (Brownie’s Year) 46.48 vs 11 Crazy 88 (Gabe Durrant) 99.60

Summary: Jordy Nelson and HOU Def (Crazy 88) overwhelmed Matt Schaub (130lbs of Kosar) on the way to the biggest blowout of the week.

Game High Points: Hou Def 23.0 (Crazy 88)

Surprise of the Game: Apparently I should quit being surprised by big points for defense. Hou Def had 23 points, which is still huge for a defense. We’ll also acknowledge Brandon Marshall’s 19.8 points for Crazy 88.

Most Disappointing Performance: There are plenty of options here, but we’ll go with Stevie Johnson, who only scored 2.3 points for 130lbs of Kosar.

Notables: Only one player for 130lbs of Kosar managed to score 10+ points, and that was Matt Schaub. Crazy 88 had four players above 15 points and four players at 6 or fewer points. Both teams left points on the bench (Cam Newton for 130lbs of Kosar and Chris Johnson and Ryan Fitzpatrick for Crazy 88), but they wouldn’t have changed the outcome.

9 Weeden Adderall (SpecialBrownie) 100.36 vs 10 Pitchin’ A Trent (Browns town) 128.86

Summary: Pitchin’ A Trent had three receivers score over 15 points on the way to victory over Weeden Adderall whose receivers turned in 16.0, 16.9, and 0.0 points.

Game High Points: Andy Dalton 23.26 (Pitchin’ A Trent)

Surprise of the Game: Marques Colston 21.3 (Pitchin’ A Trent)

Most Disappointing Performance: Randy Moss scored zero points and Tony Gonzalez only had 5.1, both for Weeden Adderall.

Notables: Pitchin’ A Trent had Anquan Boldin on his bench for 13.1 points, but actually would have lost points had he put Boldin in over any of the three WRs he did play. This game was quite evenly matched across the board, with the exception being Randy Moss (0 points) and Marques Colston (21.3 points).
