Not that it means anything, but for the sake of conversation.....many of us didnt want/expect our first round picks. Now dont get me wrong, i love me some TRich now (especially after he blew up Coleman in week one) and Weeden's arm at the very least is promising. But given JoeMurph's rant the other week, lets see the stats on the couch-genius in all of us. How have YOUR top draft picks panned out so far?
First pick: Justin Blackmon (JAX) 119 yards , zero TDs. Alot may fall on Gabbert-led poor offense, and reliance on MJDs legs, but very very early in his career he's boring. FAIL
Second Pick: David Wilson (NYG) *I originally had OT here to plug into right-side but figured we could get Massey later as draft neared.* Coughlin still grudging Wilson's week 1 fumble, he's been mainly special teams KR & avg. a solid 25+ yards a return. Broke a 40 yd TD against CLE in grabage time but looked explosive. This kid will be good. WIN
Third Pick: Stephan Gilmore (BUF) - 25 tackles, 20 solo, 8 pass def. Part of a secondary that has been absolutely torched by Sanchez (266/3), Brady (340/3) and Alex Smith (300/3) in three losses. FAIL
