That Hemsley joker from the AFC north blog stated:
“Flynn wouldn’t have much transition with the Browns, who run a similar system as the Packers. "
Did this guy see our offense this year?

I find it funny how often people assume that quarterbacks will do well just because another team attempts to have a similarly-named system. How about the big transition of not having Jennings, Nelson, Driver, Jones, Finley, and others to throw to?

The system is very similar. We just don’t have Aaron Rodgers or Greg Jennings.

I’m hearing a lot of negative response to Irsay’s latest stance regarding Manning. Now, I’m no fan of Irsay, but I think he’s playing it the way he should be. To pay Manning $28 million when he may not even be able to play would be terrible for the Colts. But if Manning wants to retire with the Colts, they’re still open restructuring the contract. If the Browns were in this situation, I’d want the organization to handle that contract similarly.
Miss my Morning Chow, but here is some afternoon chow: Mel Kiper:
Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor
Given the makeup of the roster, and the fact that they have two first-round picks and can really enhance the level of young talent, I think the Browns are far more likely to look at a young QB prospect than get into the bidding war for a veteran like Manning, or even Matt Flynn. One question I have is whether Cleveland stays at this spot and hopes Griffin is still around, or gets aggressive and moves up to No. 2 and guarantees they get their guy. Given his experience, leadership qualities and overall skill set, I don’t see it as much of a leap for Griffin to be a Week 1 starter in 2012.

Stupid Insider garbage. I wonder who he gave us at #22.

If we move up to #2, we will have either no #22 or not much of a 2013 draft. I’d give up #4 and #22 to get Griffin at #2 if the scouting reports say he is the guy.
