Our RB situation
Here's what I think: this is not the year to draft running back. The Browns should give Hillis a modest 3-year deal and roll with Hardesty, Jackson, and Ogbonnaya. I'm very hopeful that Hardesty will be our offensive breakout player this season with his knee healed for two complete seasons now. If something cant be worked out with Hillis, then he can always be franchised. I know its a lot of money for a RB for one year, but I'd rather do that than spend a draft pick this year on someone like Richardson. I live in WI and seen a lot of Jackson and hes a chain mover and a pretty good third down back

in the end, we cannot draft a first round RB. instead, i should drink more.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Yeah, drink more, that’ll work. Try Brew Kettle’s White Rajah IPA. It ’s rated a 96 on Beer Advocate, which puts it in their top 100.

Beer Advocate sucks. It’s the Alström brothers’ site and they let everyone know it. Everyone has to fall in line with them. Try www.ratebeer.com, we are much friendlier. BTW White Raja is rated in the 97th percentile for IPAs there.
I'm entitled to my opinion. Especially if I'm wrong.

I read ratebeer too.I’ll have to get on there more often. I pretty much ignore the Alstrom’s opinions, just read my way thru the forums. Which is impossible now as they’ve been down for the last few days.

we can add a back in the later part of the draft.. maybe james with the 3rd or if we are lucky, one of our 4ths. we need a speed back to change it up
I hear he has a crack problem*

3yr deal seems steep for his running style. I’d love a one-year deal for Hillis, adding RB depth in 4th rd now or higher rd next year as a necessity. Should Hardesty finally explode ….great….but I don’t see us being that lucky.
I'll gladly pay you Tuesday, for an MDP today.
yeah concerning Hardesty..it is alot of wishful/hopefull thinking but the guy does have talent and its almost now or never for him if hes ever gonna get that big second contract whether its from us or someone else…i think our offense would be immediatly twice as good with RG3 a healthy and productive Hardesty a top reciever {Floyd perhaps}…Hillis in his form of 2010..then imagine somehow getting Desean jackson in town…kinda of an obvious observation..but boy it sure is fun to imagine that offense…and though its a long shot it actually could very well happen
not so much long shot which is the best thing!
I fully expect H&H to unload in either FA or the draft for a huge playmaker …. however, my preference would be both since we have the resources. I cant wait for Browns to be respected again!

yeah all ive got to see out of Mohard is you tube highlights where he actually looked good to me..at the time i remember thinking he reminded me of deangelo williams in college…but your right in the little time hes played i seem to remember him dropping more than one screen pass..also seemed he was either hesitant at time or too aggresive at others where he would just run into his blockers…obviously heckert seen something..hopefully it pans out
I would be really surprised if Heckert keeps 4 RBs on our roster.

Hey guys, Cincy fan here, what's the consensus on Hillis?
Are most Browns fans for bringing him back or letting him keep asking for his big dollars and walk?

Most of us seem to want him back as long as he isn’t asking for top 5 running back money.

Guy was a monster there a couple seasons ago......
I live in Cleveland and saw him run over the Steelers/Ravens along with about everybody else. Have kind of followed the saga through here and Plain Dealer, wanted to see what the vote was through this site. If he can get healthy again, hopefully he can return to form for you guys (if you re-sign of course). How about RGIII? What’s the feeling about him come April?

I would think the majority follow what you say about Hillis. If he accepts a decent contract without trying to get mega-dollars then he will be here I think. As for RG3, the majority of this site is all for him. Many are willing to trade both 1sts for the Rams #2 to ensure we get him (myself included). Some want him without trading up and would not be too upset if hes not there for us. A minority strictly wants to trade down and collect more assets. On other sites Ive seen those groups mixed up some, but here on DBN I would say the majority is defintely for doing what it takes to get RG3.
