Ryan Pontbriand signs with the 49ers
I wish him well, but they already have a pro-bowl caliber long-snapper. I don't get this signing at all, even with the Brad Seely connection.

No surprise he followed Seely. I hate to even suggest it, but was that complete mental breakdown his way of securing a ticket out of Cleveland? It really came out of nowhere from a guy who was nearly flawless up until that point.
Perhaps he just actually had the breakdown and didn’t “want” out of Cleveland. It’s not completely out of the question and I’d rather not give someone like Pontbriand an ulterior motive.

I highly doubt that he wanted out. Until he went all Steve Sax he had total job security.

Odd signing considering that the 49ers already had a Pro Bowl long snapper.
Why did the Steeler fan grow a mustache? So he could look like his mother.
