With the 20th pick in the 2012 Dawgs By Nature Community Mock Draft, the Tennessee Titans select...

Andre Branch, DE, Clemson

This selection and write-up was made by iwearmocs:

The Titans have been moving in the right direction. Jake Locker looks like he could be a solid QB, and assuming Chris Johnson will bounce back from his horrible year last season and Kenny Britt stays healthy this could be a dangerous offense. The defense needs some work though. As the Giants have shown, a great pass rush is the key to stopping great quarterbacks, and the titans pass rush was not good. Like only 6.5 sacks from the defensive end position not good. While there are some other holes (interior offensive line is the main one) I like Andre Branch here. He is versatile enough to play linebacker or Defensive end and will provide a much needed pass rush.

I believe Branch will start right away. Though he needs to get stronger, I don't see why he couldn't contend for DROY honors. It's still Claiborne's award to lose, but if Claiborne struggles Branch will play a big role on an up and coming team, and I think people will notice.

I just feel a tad underwhelmed by Branch in general. The Titans were on the cusp of contending last year and could do so again this year, but I'm not sure if there is that one position that will push the Titans over the edge toward contention.

The Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock next (pick received by Bernie19Kosar).
