Browns have quietly stacked their camp with speedy receivers

The Broncos had the three Amigos. The Redskins had the smurfs? While most everyone is throwing logs on the H&H bonfire for ignoring our wide receiving group the Browns have brought to camp a group of diminutive wide receivers that can flat out fly. It’s been a long time since this much speed was in a Browns camp.

· Travis Benjamin , 5ft 10” 175 lbs out of Miami. Travis ran a 4.36 40 at the combine but his best 40 time is a blistering 4.26. Ranked the 40th best WR in 2012 by Walter football.com.Those who watched him in rookie camp raved about his ability to stretch the field. Something the Browns couldn’t do well last year.

· Bert Reed, 5ft 10” 180 lbs,out of Fl. St. is ranked just behind Benjamin in Walter Football at #41 He is quick with a 4.4 40 time. He is very quick getting off the line. He is projected as a slot receiver in the NFL. He looks forward to his chance to get under someone’s skin in camp.

· Jermaine Saffold, 6 ft 200 from Missouri St. Jermaine is a bit bigger than Reed or Benjamin but he was timed at 4.52 in his 40 with his best time a 4.36. Saffold was by far the most outstanding player in his schools pro day. Wowing the large group of scouts that attended.

· Josh Cooper, 5ft 10” 190. Oklahoma St. Hand picked by Brandon Weeden Josh was the second best receiver for the Cowboys after Justin Blackmon. Although his 40 time was a pedestrian 4.61 he is an excellent route runner. Josh has been compared to a young Wes Welker.

When you add these speedsters to our existing receiving group and I see a chance of more yards and points. That adds up to more wins. Go browns.
