I figure we have just a little bit of time before things start to pick up with Training Camp, and I feel like my new job has kept me away from DBN far too much. So, without further ado, let's talk grub!
My wife and I just polished off another fine home cooked meal of baked salmon with wild rice, steamed cauliflower and broccoli. We never have a lousy meal and practically fight for the kitchen every night.
The wife made the salmon. I have several specialties, most involving the grill. I have two Webbers (one charcoal with a rotisserie and one gas) and a third charcoal for big events. I make a fantastic Prime Rib with my own special crust on the rotisserie, love to slow cook pork ribs over charcoal (I prepared nine and a half slabs for the 4th of July party) and nothing makes my mouth water more than a 1.5" thick Delmonico grilled to mid-rare perfection.
Except for maybe crab legs. I prefer King, but Snow will do, especially the all you can eat variety. When we go to a restaurant, we almost never get what we can make at home cheaper or better. Everything I already mentioned along with Italian fall into that category. If I'm eating out, on top of great service, give me something I can't pull off in my kitchen.
Lately the wife and I have been on a Thai and Vietnamese kick. Great flavors, fresh and different!
So, what's your specialty? How about a favorite food? What do you look forward to when going out for a special meal at your favorite Restaurant?
Bon Apetite!
