Let's take a look at what happened during the past week related to the Cleveland Browns (or important NFL news). This was about as eventful of a week as you could ask for with the news Randy Lerner selling the team and training camp beginning. After the jump is a recap from the week of July 22 - July 28.

• Sunday, July 22nd: In my weekly edition of The Sunday Five, I looked at fans' reactions for the tight end, wide receiver, linebacker, and special teams positions. ... Our preview on safeties showed some concern on the team's lack of depth at the position.
  
• Monday, July 23rd: Former Bengal and current Dolphins receiver Chad Johnson is back to his original last name. ... Part one of our cornerback preview looked at Joe Haden, Sheldon Brown, Dimitri Patterson, and Buster Skrine as one of the strongest units on the team. ... Running back Trent Richardson signed his rookie deal with no offset language being included in his contract.
  
• Tuesday, July 24th: On the day that rookies were required to report to Berea, quarterback Brandon Weeden signed his rookie deal, but did not get the full fourth-year guarantee he was seeking. ... The second part of our cornerback preview looked at James Dockery, Trevin Wade, and other youngsters.
  
• Wednesday, July 25th: Rookies had their first training camp practice session open to the media, and all eyes were on wide receiver Josh Gordon; everyone was in awe of his size. ... Head coach Pat Shurmur talked to the media about when he might name a starting quarterback. ... I got to slam some of my fellow SB Nation writers, who cumulatively had the Browns ranked dead last in the network's NFL power rankings.
  
• Thursday, July 26th: We looked at the team's top five position battles for training camp.
  
• Friday, July 27th: Our first 53-man roster projection of the season was posted, with several more to come throughout camp. ... The big news broke that Randy Lerner was negotiating to sell the team to Steelers minority owner Jimmy Haslam, and everyone was buzzing about it. ... We had a comprehensive post on how to follow the Browns during training camp, a collection of all of our training camp previews, and the team's training camp schedule. ... Last, but not least, the team's first full-squad training camp session took place.
• Saturday, July 28th: Injury updates were given on DT Ahtyba Rubin (pelvic tear) and TE Evan Moore (offseason injury), as both players should be back in a week or two. ... Day 2 of training camp was the first one open to the public, and a huge crowd was in attendance. ... Shurmur had a news conference following practice that talked about Josh Gordon, the team's tight end situation, and more. ... Our weekly mailbag session answered questions about the sale of the team and the Browns' run defense.
