Yes, Bradford was a better QB coming out of college than Weeden, but they both have some very good skills. I was thinking it may be possible that Rookie Weeden, in the same Pat Shurmur offense, posts very similar stats to Rookie Bradford.
Bradford's Rookie Season (2010)
CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG TD INT
354 590 60.0 3,512 5.95 18 15
Does this seem realistic? And do you think Shurmur will really keep Weeden at such a low YPA?
Bradford may have been the better QB to start with, and we are playing in a much tougher division, but Weeden has a pretty good offense being built around him already. St. Louis finally started adding recievers just this year, while we have a strong, young unit to start with Weeden. Bradford did have Steven Jackson to rely on, but if T-Rich is all he's cracked up to be, Weeden will have the same caliber RB to help.
I do think Weeden will have to handle more pressure from the teams in our division.
