Once players cleared waivers at 12:00 PM EDT on Saturday, teams were permitted to form their practice squads. Here is the Cleveland Browns' practice squad to begin the 2012 season:

After making the 53-man roster initially, the Browns also waived DL Brian Sanford and waived/injured DT Scott Paxson. Taking their place are LB Tank Carder and DT Ishmaa'ily Kitchen.

In injury-related news, running back Trent Richardson did not return to practice, but tight end Benjamin Watson did after missing several weeks of action. Team president Mike Holmgren is expected to meet with the media this afternoon, perhaps to deliver a "state of the Browns."
