Week 2 UDBNFL Review

11 Simmsinns (Jon Stinchcomb) 75.24 vs 2 Patty’s Battlers (FrenchToast979) 108.20

Summary: You know you’re in trouble anytime Carson Palmer has a better week than Tom Brady, and that’s just what happened to Simmsinns this week. Brady scored fewer points than we’ve come to expect from him and Stephen Hill didn’t score at all as Simmsinns fell to Patty’s Battlers and an overachieving Martellus Bennett.

Game High Points: Drew Brees 21.0 (Patty’s Battlers)

Surprise of the Game: Martellus Bennett scored 13.2 (Patty’s Battlers) and Mason Crosby kicked for 14.0 (Simmsinns)

Most Disappointing Performance: Simmsinns got 0 points from Stephen Hill and only 0.6 from Jermichael Finley.

Notables: Carson Palmer outscored Tom Brady from the bench for Simmsinns, but who would start Palmer over Brady?

.

1 WV Brownies (Kimble_79) 121.64 vs 3 Midway Mayhem (The New Kardiac Kids) 88.76

Summary: Reggie Bush and Robert Griffin III combined for over 62 points for WV Brownies and Midway Mayhem had weak games from much of his team, most notably Andre Johnson.

Game High Points: Reggie Bush 31.7 (WV Brownies)

Surprise of the Game: Anyone who says they expected Reggie Bush to score 31.7 points is lying.

Most Disappointing Performance: 2.1 points from Andre Johnson.

Notables: Roddy White and Dwayne Bowe both had strong games for Midway Mayhem. Willis McGahee (Midway Mayhem) was on the bench with his 24.4 points.

.

4 Brownie the Elf (emily522) 82.10 vs 10 Crazy 88 (Gabe Durrant) 50.64

Summary: Crazy 88 had only two players reach their projection, and Brownie the Elf only had three. The difference was 29+ points each from C J Spiller and Eli Manning for Brownie the Elf.

Game High Points: Eli Manning 29.2 (Brownie the Elf)

Surprise of the Game: Despite last week, I’m still considering C J Spiller the most surprising.

Most Disappointing Performance: Almost everyone. Julio Jones (1.5), Jamaal Charles (2.2), Aaron Hernandez (0.0), Dan Bailey (1.0), and NYJ Def (3.0) for Brownie the Elf and Jay Cutler (6.24), Brandon Marshall (2.4), Chris Johnson (2.8), Kenny Britt (0.5), and Rob Bironas (4.0) for Crazy 88.

Notables: Brownie the Elf left Pierre Thomas and Brandon LaFell on the bench as they both more than doubled their projected points. Ben Tate had 21.7 points on Crazy 88’s bench.

.

5 Now I’m Done (StuckInPa) 111.24 vs 9 Pitchin’ A Trent (Browns town) 101.84

Summary: This was the closest game of the week, but Trent Richardson’s game high 26.5 points weren’t enough to pull out a win for Pitchin’ A Trent.

Game High Points: Trent Richardson 26.5 (Pitchin’ A Trent)

Surprise of the Game: Marshawn Lynch scored 18.2 points for Now I’m Done while GB Def scored 19.0 for Pitchin’ A Trent.

Most Disappointing Performance: Anquan Boldin only scored 0.7 points for Pitchin’ A Trent.

Notables: Both teams had a QB on the bench outscore their starting QB by over 10 points; Brandon Weeden over Peyton Manning for Now I’m Done and Andy Dalton over Tony Romo for Pitchin’ A Trent. Certainly can’t blame either team for starting who they started though.

.

6 130lbs of Kosar (Brownie’s Year) 121.02 vs 12 Stig-o-sauruseseses (Stigosaurus) 60.36

Summary: Stig-o-sauruseseses was on the wrong end of the biggest blowout of the week for the second time as all but two players underperformed.

Game High Points: Cam Newton 25.22 (130lbs of Kosar)

Surprise of the Game: Vernon Davis scored 19.3 points for 130lbs of Kosar. Jason Hanson (130lbs of Kosar) had 16.0 points and Stephen Gostkowski (Stig-o-sauruseseses) had 17.0 points.

Most Disappointing Performance: Larry Fitzgerald only managed 0.4 points for Stig-o-sauruseseses.

Notables: Antonio Gates didn’t play and Aaron Rodgers underperformed for Stig-o-sauruseseses. 130lbs of Kosar got (unneccessary) help from Mike Wallace and Pit Def to win, and should feel bad about it.

.

7 RandallPFloyd QB (Bross09) 95.34 vs 8 Weeden Adderall (SpecialBrownie) 114.46

Summary: The difference in this game can be summarized with the flex position, where Weeden Adderall watched Vincent Jackson score 18.8 points while RandallPFloyd QB got -0.1 from James Jones.

Game High Points: Hakeem Nicks 25.9 (RandallPFloyd QB)

Surprise of the Game: Victor Cruz with 23.9 points, Tony Gonzalez with 13.0, and Vincent Jackson’s 18.8 all qualify for Weeden Adderall.

Most Disappointing Performance: Has to be James Jones, though Darren McFadden’s 4.1 is close too. Both play for RandallPFloyd QB.

Notables: Weeden Adderall left Brent Celek’s 15.7 points and Sea Def’s 17.0 points on the bench.
