The Browns have ruled TE Alex Smith out this week, which could mean more playing time for TE Jordan Cameron.
The Cleveland Browns' injury list is shrinking week-by-week. For the third consecutive week, LB James-Michael Johnson will be out with rib and oblique issues. Johnson did return to practice on Friday, though, even though he was limited. It's tough to say whether he could end up playing in Week 4 since it is a short week against the Ravens.
The other player who is ruled out this week is TE Alex Smith, who is still suffering the effects of a concussion from last week's game. Smith's absence means that second-year tight end Jordan Cameron could end up seeing a lot more action on Sunday.
S Ray Ventrone missed last week's game and had surgery on his hand this past week. He is expected to play on Sunday with a club on his hand, though. It is a bit surprising to see WR Joshua Cribbs downgraded to questionable this week. He was listed as "probable" with a knee injury in Week 2. Still, I am optimistic that he will play. The Browns will get some help back on the defensive line. Despite suffering a concussion against the Bengals, DT Billy Winn was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday and is expected the start. DE Juqua Parker might be a game-time decision after suffering a foot injury last week.
The Bills are pretty healthy at the moment. Even though RB Fred Jackson is a great back, C.J. Spiller has filled in great so far. Not listed on the injury report is WR David Nelson, who tore his ACL in Week 1 and is out for the year. The Bills are expected to have all their starters on defense ready for the game.
