After the hiring of Mike Lombardi, I've realized I hate the Browns. However, I am still going to support this abomination of a franchise through thin and thinner.
In the Lombardi thread, a couple of users mentioned the idea of some sort of protest against the hiring. However, filing a petition with the White House or trying to organize some kind of mass ticket cancellation is very unlikely to have an effect, and further, I don't think such actions are personally satisfying.
As such, I have decided to demonstrate my faith and level of disgust/support for the team not in a confidence poll, and not in an act of Stockholm Syndrome pledging of allegiance to the franchise, but by embracing the irreverence and humor I've found on DBN. I am going to use my avatar and put my heart on my virtual sleeve as to show how good I feel about being a Browns fan on any given day. It is my wish that others do the same, cause at the very least, we should have some funny stuff to look at.
For day 1 of the Banner/Lombardi Era, I have chosen the one and only Todd Philcox, as the day Philcox started against Seattle following Bernie Kosar's release was the most pathetic thing I can remember happening as a Browns fan. For those who don't remember the great start Philcox got off to, here's the game recap:

Thank you for reading this vanity post, and hopefully you will find it somewhat amusing. If not, then I don't care. Go watch Monty Python or something.
