- According to reports, unless OLB Jabaal Sheard suffers a "setback," he will play (and possibly start) against the Detroit Lions. He felt good enough to play on Friday, and will arrive early at the stadium on Sunday to see if he still feels up to playing. The word is that OLB Quentin Groves is in the same boat; he will see how he feels Sunday morning.
- With FB Chris Ogbonnaya being a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday, he is expected to jump right back into the lineup at the starting fullback. DT Desmond Bryant, who left last week's game with shortness of breath and an irregular heartbeat, will start.
- For the Lions, the big question all morning will involve WR Calvin Johnson. We're resigned to the fact that he will probably play, but for all we know, his condition could be worse than reported, and maybe the Lions are just trying to play up the fact that he could play. S Louis Delmas has been battling sore knees, but will play on Sunday; they have just been resting him in practice.
