Nuggets:

  • Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman spent two seasons with the Browns, first as quarterbacks coach in 1988 and then as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 1989.

  • Chicago defensive coordinator Mel Tucker, an Ohio native, was the Browns’ defensive backs coach from 2005-07 and was promoted to defensive coordinator in 2008. Browns special teams coordinator Chris Tabor was an assistant special teams coach for the Bears from 2008-10.

  • QB Jason Campbell spent the 2012 season with the Bears, where he completed 32 of 51 attempts for 265 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. He appeared in six games and made one start. The Bears feature former Browns special teams linebacker Blake Costanzo on their roster.

  • WR Josh Gordon could become the first Browns player with a touchdown reception in five consecutive games since Paul Warfield in 1976. Is currently the only Browns player to ever record four straight 100-yard receiving games and could extend that streak to five.

  • K Billy Cundiff is now the franchise leader in touchbacks for Cleveland. The 26 fourth-down attempts and the 13 conversions by the Browns this season are the most in club history.

  • The last time these two teams met in the regular season was on November 1, 2009 in Chicago, with the Bears blowing out the Browns by a final score of 30-6. QB Derek Anderson completed a pathetic 7-of-16 passes for 76 yards and 2 interceptions. Cleveland turned the ball over five times in total.
