Per Daryl Ruiter, on twitter. "Haslam quoted in Knoxville news "This is about me realizing my first love is running Pilot Flying J and wanting to return to that job"" Now that Haslam has a fully realized authority and leadership structure established in Cleveland, he's returning to run the day-to-day operations of Flying J. The most intriguing question during this process is how far in advance he knew this was coming; his leadership team in Cleveland (From CEO, to Strategic VP's, to Personnel VP's) suggest that most of his power as owner was destined to be delegated from the start. I believe a Browns-centric press release will follow, shortly.
