Browns OTAs Begin on Tuesday, May 14

USA TODAY Sports

Even though the conclusion of rookie minicamp came this past weekend, the offseason programs for the Cleveland Browns are far from over. In fact, they are starting up again on Tuesday, May 14th, with the first set of organized team activities (OTAs) of the season. The first set of OTA sessions will run through Thursday, May 16th, and it will mark the first time that all 90 players on the roster -- rookies and veterans alike -- will practice together in Berea under head coach Rob Chudzinski.

The OTAs this week are just the first in a series of offseason programs coming up over the next four weeks:

OTA Offseason Workouts: May 14-16, May 21-23, May 28-31
Mandatory Minicamp: June 4-6

As a reminder, here are the basic ground rules of OTA practices, per the NFL's Collective Bargaining Agreement:

  • All coaches can attend practice.
  • No live contact is permitted.
  • No one-on-one drills are permitted.
  • Offense vs. Defense drills are permitted, as long as no contact occurs.

It is unclear at this point whether or not the media will be allowed to attend the sessions. If they are, we'll recap any relevant news that comes along; we may even get our first sneak peak at the team's depth chart for 2013!
