We can officially welcome Armonty Bryant to the Cleveland Browns. The last draft pick signing for the Browns came way back on May 24, when OL Garrett Gilkey signed on the dotted line. Nearly two months later, Bryant becomes the team's third draft pick to sign.
First-round outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo and third-round cornerback Leon McFadden still remain unsigned (update: McFadden signed later in the day). Rookies were due to report to Berea for training camp today, July 19. There is a chance that Mingo and McFadden will sign soon, but Mingo in particular could wait a little bit while the finer details of the contract get ironed out.
At the end of June, we investigated Bryant's chances at making the 53-man roster this season. Although I felt the Browns would only keep the six defensive linemen that are ahead of him on the depth chart, 65% of you believed the Browns would at least carry a seventh player, which could end up being Bryant.
