The seventh episode of Dawgs By Nature Radio aired this past Tuesday night. Our regular host, Matt Wood, was on break this week. Filling in as host and doing an admirable job was Josh Finney, as he was joined by Zach Miller and special guest Brendan Leister of DraftBrowns.com.
The show kicked off with the guys discussing the changes being made to the gameday experience at FirstEnergy Stadium, and how the "live look in" to training camp on Browns.com went over with fans.
After that introduction, the meat of the show turned to Leister, who gave a lot of input on what fans can expect from OLB Barkevious Mingo, defensive coordinator Ray Horton, and running back Trent Richardson. If you haven't seen them, Leister has done some amazing pieces over at DraftBrowns.com, so go check them out:
How Will the Browns Maximize Barkevious Mingo’s Unique Skills?
An In-Depth Look Inside Ray Horton’s Defense
Browns Film Room: Trent Richardson
Next, the show jumped to talking about how the injury to tight end Dennis Pitta, coupled with the trading of wide receiver Anquan Boldin in the offseason, will hurt the Baltimore Ravens.
Another fun segment involved the guys doing a roundtable discussion on whether they would "buy" or "sell" on certain players who have been making some form of an impression in training camp, such as RB Dion Lewis, QB Brian Hoyer, WR Travis Benjamin, WR Josh Cooper, and CB Chris Owens.
