Brandon Weeden Officially Named Starter; Dion Lewis' Season Likely Over

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

This morning HC Rob Chudzinski named Brandon Weeden the starting QB, and mentioned Dion Lewis season likely is over before it started.

Unsurprising breaking news: head coach Rob Chudzinski has named Brandon Weeden as the starting quarterback of your 2013 Cleveland Browns. Chudzinski said "he's earned the job", and "gained (everybody's) complete trust".

Additionally Chud said Jason Campbell will be the number 2 QB, while also likely keeping Brian Hoyer.

Chudzinski also mentioned a quick note about injured RB Dion Lewis, stating that Lewis will "likely" go on season-ending IR. Lewis had surgery yesterday to repair a fractured fibula suffered in Thursday's win over the Lions. Chudzinski did say that the surgery went well.

We'll have more from Chudzinski's news conference later.
