Unfortunately for Browns fans, the horror on offense did not end to start the second quarter. With the Dolphins having a 6-0 lead, Travis Benjamin had a nice punt return to give Cleveland great field position. Then, Brandon Weeden threw a pass behind Jordan Cameron, which was tipped and intercepted again by former Brown Dimitri Patterson.

The Dolphins then strung together a few more third-down conversions, before safety Tashaun Gipson recorded the Browns' first turnover of the half with an interception off a tipped pass by D'Qwell Jackson. Some how, some way, the Browns completed a rather ugly drive, but it was still capped off with a 7-yard touchdown pass from Weeden to Cameron. Billy Cundiff's extra point gave the Browns a 7-6 lead heading into the half.
