No news on an offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns, but how do you like this: at 80 years old, Gil Brandt can still get a couple of scoops as a senior analyst for NFL.com. According to Brandt, the Browns are close to bringing Wilbert Montgomery aboard their staff as running backs coach:
Hearing Mike Pettine zeroing in on Wilbert Montgomery as his RB coach w #Browns. Montgomery was fired by #Ravens earlier this month.

Montgomery was with the Rams from 1997-2005 as a running backs and tight ends coach. He was the Lions' running backs coach for two years before being with the Ravens in the same capacity from 2008-2013. The Ravens parted ways with him earlier this month.
