FB Chris Pressley's Contract is the Veteran Minimum

Jonathan Ferrey

The Browns' new fullback didn't get a lucrative deal.

According to Aaron Wilson of Ravens Insider, Cleveland Browns fullback Chris Pressley was signed to a contract worth the veteran minimum. Here is our original post on the team signing Pressley.

As a way to encourage teams to give veteran players a chance at making a roster later in their career, the NFL allows teams to make the cap charge for the veteran only be equal to the amount of a second-year player (making a minimum salary, which is $570,000). Pressley didn't get any bonus, though, so this is basically a tryout contract for him.

Out of all the Browns' free agent signings so far, the only player whose contract details remain unclear is WR Nate Burleson.
