According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the NFL has handed down a four-game suspension to former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Brian Tyms:
Former Browns, Dolphins and 49ers wide receiver Brian Tyms suspended for first four games of the regular season

The Browns picked up Tyms from the Dolphins last season, but he rarely saw action on gameday. He was still with the club up until the beginning of March, when the Browns released both he and WR Davone Bess on the same day. Given the issues that Bess was facing, you have to wonder if the Browns knew anything about Tyms' forthcoming suspension and just decided to cut ties with him right then and there.
It has not yet been reported why Tyms was suspended, but a four-game offense would typically seem to be something related to the substance-abuse program. And, if he raised a red flag while playing with the Browns last season, that makes it all-the-more-important that he is as far away from WR Josh Gordon as possible.
