Have you noticed something a very high majority of the sports media, especially ESPN does, particularly with QB's imo?
They BUILD up these high profile Quarterbacks (or that one QB that has a high buzz coming out off college) taken high, or fairly early in the draft and they make them out to be some amazing specimen, almost god-like. They build up this platform to some nearly, impossible, Jon Montana type feat to live up to. And with this this excessive hype, the people from all over the country, and the local people/fans see this on a day after day basis, so after awhile of all the 'Manziel this, Manziel that' these people can't help because they're being fed down their throats with this nonsense, so it's only naturally and psychological that they expect these young(s) kids to be some amazing, once in a generation type player who w ill absolutely dominate the league (who i hope he does). And Manziel is this year's example no doubt about it. I also hate hoe bad the media has betrayed him to be some party monster kid who's just out of control. He's a freaking college dude... Would wouldn't chill with celebrities if they could? Just stop hating you people and let's see that magic on the field. I honestly believe ESPN is doing what they do with this high profile guys by giving themselves that ammunition for when he makes that ONE mistake, so they can shoot him down the very second doesn't do something right. ESPN is the sports TMZ, and they love that drama.
Tebow, Cam Newton, & RG3 all had that awesome rookie year, but once that Sophmore Slump roled around. BAM, drama galores.
People were on Cam after his stats took a nosedive after that rookie year.
RG3 was no different.
And Tebow.... was jsut Tebow.
Please JJF. Don't follow those steps.
