On Monday, the Minnesota Vikings claimed former Cleveland Browns cornerback Julian Posey off waivers. The Browns waived Posey late last week to eventually make room for the signing of cornerback Aaron Berry.

Believe it or not, Posey actually started at cornerback for the Browns back in Week 17 due to injuries on defense. He finished the season with 6 combined tackles and 1 sack.
Also, in other minor-transaction news, the NFL transaction wire today indicated that WR Josh Cooper is finally officially gone from the Browns. If you recall, Cooper was waived a couple of weeks ago, but reverted to the team's injured reserve list, presumably because he had a minor injury at the time. He is probably healed from that injury now, so the team parted ways with him so he'll have the opportunity to catch on with another team before training camp.
