League of Exiles Week 3 update

There is only 1 undefeated team left after 3 weeks, which is a huge indication of a competitive league with a long road ahead.

The first matchup I would like to showcase is the undefeated GentryHoldem VS. The Flaming Marshmal

GentryHoldem 158.92 over The Flaming Marshmal 122.74

To me Gentryholdem is set up to be a Match up nightmare in this league week in and week out.

The regular grinders for GentryHoldem (Payton Manning, Julian Edelman, and Marshawn Lynch) continued to roll combining for 71.72 of GentryHoldem’s 158.92. Sammy Watkins (3.90) did not have much of a game but that didn’t much matter with Rashad Jennings (23.60) having a career day rushing for 176 yards and 1 TD.

The Flaming Marshmal drop to 1-2 after last week’s loss, and despite Kelvin Benjamin’s 25.50 points, it was a total team loss.

No TD’s and 2 INT’s and losing a fumble is what Matthew Stafford handed The Flaming Marshmal during week 3. And if that wouldn’t be a kick in the butt enough, Randall Cobb (5.90) & Montee Ball (4.40) really dug the grave for The Flaming Marshmal.

RotoBiz 188.50 over Vick’s Dawgs 138.40

Only kicker Cairo Santos (4.00 points) underperformed for RotoBiz for their first win over the then 2-0 Vick’s Dawgs.

RotoBiz came out of this matchup with a huge day from everyone. Pierre Garcon (30.80) lead the way while huge points continued to rack up from Nick Foles (32.20) Martellus Bennett(22.40) to the bench in John Brown (21.20).

Vick’s Dawgs suffered their first loss of the season and there was nothing they could do about it.

Let’s face it when your opponent racks up 188.50 is hard to win. Andrew Luck (40.30) Emmanuel Sanders (25.90) & Victor Cruz (21.70) tailed up over half of the total 138.40 of the projected 136.31 points Vick’s Dawgs would put up in week 3.

I’ll Have a Rubin 119.12 over OhioCityBrowns 109.62

Both teams posted points well below their projected finish during week 3.

I’ll Have a Rubin gets their 1st win of the season with the help of Drew Brees (23.52) & Jeremy Maclin (29.40). Danny Woodhead left Sunday’s game early and would only post .10 points. But that didn’t matter because his opponent forgot the most important position in the league.

OhioCityBrowns continues to have Injury trouble in week 3. Deciding to hit the waiver wire OhioCityBrowns rolled the dice on Josh McCown and came up with -4.68 points. No one needs to tell OhioCityBrowns what he needs to do to fix his team that had guys like Demarco Murray (21.10) and Fred Jackson (25.20) post almost half of OhioCityBrowns 109.62 points.

Angry LITTLE Elf 139.08 over Haslams’ Headache 121.10

Haslams’ Headache leaves an open RB spot open and lets Angry LITTLE elf walk away with a victory.

C’mon Man!!!!!!!!

Kirt Cousins (34.58) and Julio Jones (37.10) combine for 71.68 points and carried Angry LITTLE Elf to go 2-1 on the season. Darren Sproles (6.00) Brandon Marshall (1.60) & Toby Gerhart (8.30) Mason Crosby (1) where all underperformers in week 3.

Even if Haslams’ Headache played Justin Forsett (10.50) it wouldn’t have mattered there wasn’t a combination of points played verse points on the bench that would have helped Haslams’ Headache win. On the plus side for the 2-1 Haslams’ Headache had Antonio Brown (31.00) and DeSean Jackson (22.70) post big games as they continue to be PPR studs.

GoToHellGodell 111.78 over Frew 78.00

Another game full of under performers as a battle of 1-1 teams goes down in week 3.

Something you don’t want to see every week is Aaron Rodgers (12.48) and Calvin Johnson (14.20) both underachieving. GoToHellGodell got the win with some help from his opponent and some love from Reggie Bush (21.90).

Only Jay Cutler (20.40) and Terrance West (12.10) broke their projections for week 3. There were only 20.60 reliable points from RB3’s left on the bench in Darren McFadden (10.50) and Matt Asiata (10.10), and those points wouldn’t have helped much. I fully expect Frew to be an every week contender despite being 1-2 on the season thus far.

A Poor Manziel 136.04 over Brown Eyes 113.66

Another miscue lets a team walk away with a win.

A Poor Manziel might have gotten a gimme with a win over Brown Eyes in week 3. Matt Ryan (29.64) was the only true performer in front of the RB battle in Florida of backups of Knile Davis (17.20) and Lamar Miller (17.20)

Brown Eyes should have checked his lineup Sunday, playing injured Arian Foster in the Flex. Dennis Pitta also went down and only put up 4.20 points for Brown Eyes. Brown Eyes could have won the matchup if he had played Russell Wilson (28.02) over Tom Brady (14.66) & Ahmad Bradshaw (16.30) in the Flex.
