While addressing a group of understandably hostile trucking executives at a seminar in Indianapolis, Jimmy Haslam unequivocally states that he knew nothing of the rebate scheme and that the investigation will "in no way shape or form affect [his] ownership of the Browns."
This is a pretty important development. I also found in very interesting that, despite the lawsuits by some, Pilot/Flying J appears to be making restitution to trucking companies victimized by the scheme voluntarily. Haslam deserve credit for facing these people and for making amends. This is very encouraging news.
