FanShot Quotes

From ESPN's Adam Schefter, suggesting trades he thinks should happen:
"4. Cleveland quarterback Brady Quinn to Carolina for a conditional fourth-round pick: Clearly, the Quinn-Cleveland marriage hasn't worked any better than Greg Norman and Chris Evert's, so call it a day. Right now, Carolina doesn't have a first-round pick in April, and would be unable to draft one of the top quarterbacks, so it would make sense to take a chance on a quarterback who needs a change of scenery."

(I) Don't like what's happening in Cleveland, and not just with the 0-2 record. There's a bad vibe that a lot of people are sending out. I don't see .500 this year, and next year's too far away to even think about. So much can change before then. But this year looks like it could be another one of those long years. Brady Quinn looks rattled in the pocket, the offensive line looks leaky, the defense is giving up too many big plays and it has the ingredients for another disappointing year. But do not despair. There is some good news: The Cavaliers should be tremendous.

"Last year I was with the Texans, and when we played the Browns, Braylon Edwards asked me BETWEEN PLAYS if we could talk after the game about modeling and acting."
-Model/Crappy Safety Will Demps

This is from the May 4th ESPN the Magazine. The Browns didn't score a TD in this game. We lost 16-6 to the Texans. I am now done with Braylon Edwards. I believe that Braylon Edwards would rather be Wesley Snipes than Jerry Rice. I don't need my teams players to be robots that think about nothing other than football, but please when you are on the field to maybe give a crap and concentrate on the game. I have no idea why Braylon was always dropping passes.

If we can get a pick and Ahmad Bradshaw for BE I will drive his pretty boy a*s to the airport myself.

Can anyone tell me why the Browns are using Ugly gray facemasks instead of white?

Eric Wright, who entered the year as the embattled Eric Wright, is now the reliable Eric Wright. Cleveland's lucky to have him, and the Browns now know that left corner is one position they won't have to fill at the start of 2009.

Brady Quinn tells me his problem is not just a broken bone near the top of the index finger on his throwing hand. It's a damaged tendon, which makes it doubly difficult to spin the ball with the kind of rotation he usually has coming out of his right hand. You saw that against Houston Sunday, in his eight-of-18 performance before getting yanked for Derek Anderson.

I don't care if the Colts are in it, out of it or have a playoff seed wrapped up, Dungy will play his guys. As will Jeff Fisher. He told me after the game Sunday, "We'll play our players'' for 16 games. No rest for the Titans.
