Well, At Least They Didn't Lose....

It could always be worse.

You can b*tch about how much it costs to put gas in your car....or you can be thankful you have a car.

You can b*tch about how your kids don't listen...or be grateful you have them.

You can b*tch that your Cleveland Browns football team SUCKS....or you can be grateful you have a team at all because about 8 years ago, you didn't.

Hey, whatever works....

The Browns head coach is getting continuing pressure to dump Mo Carthon, whose offense unit remains ineffective.
Romeo Crennel is facing pressure from the media and Browns fans to dump offensive coordinator Maurice Carthon during the bye week and replace him with Terry Robiskie or Jeff Davidson before the season resumes....
As with any possible lineup changes, Crennel's options are limited if he does shake up his coaching assignments. Crennel coached defense throughout his career, so he would not take over the play-calling. The only possibilities are receivers coach Robiskie....or Davidson, the offensive line coach/assistant head coach....

I'm not the devil but I like to play his Advocate, so I have to ask, "If not ----, then who?"

If not Maurice Carthon, then who?

Scout.com offers two choices:  former Offensive Coordinator and Interim Head Coach Terry Robiskie, and current assistant head coach Jeff Davidson.

I never did get exactly why Robiskie was downgraded to receivers coach in the first place.  He wasn't a bad offensive coordinator.  He's definitely got the right experience to be calling our plays.

Davidson was wanted by the NY Jets to be Mangini's Offensive Coordinator this past off-season, but the Browns thought him valuable enough to promote him, convincing him to stay.  Davidson was a guard for Ohio State.  If he's worth that much to you, why not give him a shot?

My Pick:  Samuel L. Jackson

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

-Jules Winnfield, "Pulp Fiction"

Yeah, THAT'S the guy I want calling plays for the Browns!  WOOOOO!!!!!
