Browns Upgrade at Left Tackle, Ready to Sign Jurevicius

Look at the upgrades we've so quickly made on the offenslive line! I guess that means we'll be focusing on defense during the draft:

Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Cleveland Browns have agreed in principle to a contract with free agent OT Kevin Shaffer (Falcons). While details need to be worked out on Shaffer's contract, it will be a seven-year deal worth more than $5 million a year.

I guess there's a reason we didn't pursue L.J. Shelton. Along with Bentley, we'll try to have a scouting report on Shaffer soon.

Also, it looks as if we are very close to signing Joe Jurevicius:

Signing Jurevicius would probably complete our major pursuements in free agency regarding our offense.
