Browns Move Up to Take D'Qwell Jackson

The Browns have made another trade, this time in the early part of the second round. The Browns traded our second-round pick and Jeff Faine to the New Orleans Saints for the 34th overall pick in the draft. After being on the clock, the Browns selected linebacker D'Qwell Jackson of Maryland. On Sirius radio, they are claiming that this is an absolute steal for the Browns, and once again, is being discussed as the perfect match for our defense.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports is calling him the best inside linebacker of the draft:

Not counting Bobby Carpenter - who could play inside - D'Qwell Jackson is the best inside linebacker in the draft. He's a tough and instinctive player, but will have to get a bit bigger and stronger so he can better take on blockers and not get overwhelmed.
- Charles Robinson

The Browns no longer have a second round pick. I'll be back when the third round arrives with our final pick of the day, unless we make another trade.
