UPDATE(6:04 PM): Phil Savage just confirmed in his press conference that LeCharles Bentley will be out the entire season. We will try to have a transcript of his conference as soon as possible. Dawgs By Nature will have a report soon on the status of free agent centers and how this will impact our team this year.
UPDATE(5:03 PM): The NFL Network is reporting that Bentley will miss the entire season. The following is an update from Mary Kay Cabot:
UPDATE(2:36 PM): "According to sources close to Bentley, the injury was a potentially season-ending injury to his patellar tendon, ESPN.com's John Clayton reported. Bentley was in the process of getting an MRI to determine whether it is a partial or total tear."
UPDATE(1:20 PM): Here is a video of the play that Bentley was injured on.
UPDATE(12:11 PM): According to head coach Romeo Crennel, Bentley only has a "Twisted Knee" until the results of the MRI come back. However, that could be Crennel giving a politcally correct answer until the official results are known.
UPDATE(11:50 PM): According to Cleveland.com, they have posted the following:
BREAKING NEWS(11:35 PM): After riding on cloud nine with all of the moves the Browns have made the past few months, we knew something bad had to happen. Our biggest move of the offseason - signing LeCharles Bentley - may have taken a major hit during the morning session of Day 2 of training camp. Bentley was carted off the field. Here are reports from Mary Kay Cabot:
Bentley went down in pain and could not put any weight on the leg. Trainers immobilized the leg with an air cast and he was taken from the field on a cart.

And, here is an injury update from ESPN:
Bentley screamed, "No," before remaining on his knees as the Browns moved their scrimmage up the field so trainers could attend to the 6-foot-2, 309-pound player.
He stayed on the ground in a seated position for several minutes before Cleveland's medical staff immobilized his left knee and carted him to the locker room. Bentley covered his face with a towel on the short drive to the field house as Browns players and fans looked on in shock. The extent of Bentley's injury is not yet known.

This will be horrible news if Bentley is out for extended time. Let's hope that at the most, Bentley will only miss training camp and the preseason, and be ready by Week 1 or Week 2. However, I have a feeling it could be a lot worse. Updates on this story will be posted as soon as they are available.
