Remember the Practice Squad?

Unlike past years, there doesn't seem to be much speculation about this year's practice squad. There isn't that "one" player that I'm really urged to bring up to the 53-man roster. Of course, Melila Purcell and Chase Pittman may be worth a try to see if they can help the defensive line at all, but that's about it.

Today, the Browns let go of practice squad tight end  Jonny Harline and replaced him with tight end Richard Angulo. Angulo, a four-year player who has mostly been on practice squads, was originally a seventh-round draft choice by the St. Louis Rams in 2003.

At 6-8, 266 lbs, chances are that Angulo is more suited to be a blocking tight end.

On another note, the Browns decided not to pull off any trades before the deadline. The only deals around the NFL saw running back Michael Bennett head to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and wide receiver Chris Chambers head to the San Diego Chargers. Both players were moved to contending teams.
