Trivisonno Reports Browns' Signing of Picks

Radio personality Mike Trivisonno of WTAM 1100 is reporting that the Browns have signed two of the team's remaining three draft picks, according to his source. Trivisonno cannot release the names of which two people were "signed", but he stated that both men would report to camp tomorrow.

Take it for what it's worth. Trivisonno and WTAM are usually close with the Browns, and there has been plenty of validity to the network's statements in the past. I checked over at the Orange and Brown Report to see if Barry McBride would have any updates on the situation. He hadn't heard about it at first, but when he checked, he stated that none of the three had officially signed yet, but there were ongoing negotiations. I'll provide more updates as they come along.

By the way, Browns center LeCharles Bentley was on Sirius Satellite Radio today. Unfortunately, I missed the interview, but CCDawg49 over at the OBR has a tremendous recap of it available for everyone to see: Bentley on Sirius.

And, if you didn't hear, just like Kellen Winslow, both Bentley and cornerback Gary Baxter were also placed on the active/PUP list. Bentley and Baxter could be re-activated by Monday's practice.

UPDATE 6:01 PM: According to Trivisonno, two of the picks have indeed signed, and their names will be released later tonight. It would seem unlikely that he would make such a statement without being confident that his sources are valid, so this likely means that camp will begin tomorrow with only one holdout. (For the record, WKNR 850 is still reporting that they are only "close" to signing.) When the names are revealed, there will be a seperate post celebrating their signings. Personally, I hope and believe that the men will be Eric Wright and Joe Thomas. The fourth-overall pick in the draft, Gaines Adams signed earlier today, and Thomas was selected third overall. UPDATE 6:25 PM: According to Channel 5 news, the team has officially inked deals with Thomas and Wright.
