Browns Announce Practice Squad Move

The Browns made a minor move on their practice squad, waiving defensive back Tim Mixon to make room for defensive back A.J. Davis. Davis was a fourth-round draft choice in this year's draft, selected 105th overall by the Detroit Lions. In 46 career games at North Carolina State, he recorded 135 tackles and four interceptions.

Davis had some decent promotion heading into the draft from NFL scouting analysts, and I'm pretty sure he was ranked ahead of Brandon McDonald originally (I'll have to double check on that).

Later on, I'll have a recap of some news from the week that I haven't covered yet, including the buildup between Leigh Bodden and Chad Johnson. Then, either late tonight or tomorrow morning, I'll have my official gameday preview up and ready.
