San Diego Chargers vs. Cleveland Browns - Official Game Thread

I spent about three to four hours this morning puzzled to death why my computer would not start up in its regular state. After investigating the processes in Safe Mode, I discovered a suspicious-looking one called uret463.exe. Thankfully, I had Internet access on my phone to do some searches. It ended up being a form of a trojan/virus, and I traced it back to around 4:00 PM yesterday.

I'm good at wiping out viruses when I find them, but nonetheless I was still taken aback. It was the first time I've had one (not even spyware) on this computer since I purchased it back in July of 2007. Thankfully the game started a bit later today, as I had time to hop on and put the game preview up still.

Position-by-Position Breakdown

Pos Adv Reason
QB - Ryan Kelsey highlighted the solid season that Philip Rivers is having. Brady Quinn needs to work on chemistry with his receivers still.
RB - Tomlinson and Sproles are hardly having seasons to brag about, but Sproles can contribute significantly in the passing game.
WR - Antonio Gates and Vincent Jackson are each going to have 1,000 yard seasons. Legedu Naanee has made some noise due to his name and his production.
OL - Tomlinson and Sproles can't even each 3.5 yards per carry; the Browns' line continues to remain the most stable part of the team.
DL - With Shaun Rogers and Kenyon Coleman both out, it's not even worth looking at the other team -- we're worse.
LB - If there's anything left to gain defensively this season, it's whether or not Matt Roth or Jason Trusnik can be our starting OLB next season (note: I'd like to see Veikune somewhere, but it won't happen).
DB - The Brandon McDonald demotion seems to have gone a bit too far; I'm still wondering what's up with Coye Francies.
ST - Go Joshua Cribbs, again! This week it's even because Nate Kaeding is a solid kicker and Mike Scifres can directional punt and pin teams back much better than Reggie Hodges can.

I thank the local stations and various organizations for making it possible that this game isn't blacked out. With that said, in a business sense, it probably doesn't make a whole lot of a sense, but oh well. The Chargers have been on fire and have all the tools to blow the Browns out.

FINAL PREDICTION: San Diego Chargers 31, Cleveland Browns 10.
CHRIS' RECORD IN PICKING BROWNS GAMES: 9-2
CHRIS' OVERALL NFL PREDICTIONS RECORD: 127-50

This is the official gameday thread for the Cleveland Browns in Week 13 as they take on the San Diego Chargers. All comments regarding the game should be posted in this thread. Enjoy the game, and GO BROWNS!!!
