Jay Cutler Sweepstakes Ends for Cleveland; Dealt to Chicago

According to our Denver Broncos affiliate Mile High Report through the Denver Broncos, QB Jay Cutler has been dealt to the Chicago Bears. I guess that can end all speculation that he'll end up in Cleveland.

The Denver Broncos have agreed in principle to trade quarterback Jay Cutler to the Chicago Bears. Terms of the deal will be disclosed at a later time.

While Cutler might be coming to Cleveland, I still wouldn't be surprised if Denver attempts to acquire Derek Anderson from us. Of course they'd rather have Brady Quinn, but I don't believe we'll part with him.

UPDATE: Terms of the deal are now available, according to the NFL Network. This is what it looks like right now:

DENVER GETS:

  • Chicago's 1st Round Pick in 2009
  • Chicago's 3rd Round Pick in 2009
  • Chicago's 1st Round Pick in 2010
  • QB Kyle Orton

CHICAGO GETS:

  • Denver's 5th Round Pick in 2009
  • QB Jay Cutler

For good reason, this should be one of the biggest topics of the NFL season once the regular season rolls around.
