The Baltimore Ravens fired quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn last night. According to the Baltimore Sun, the reason for Zorn's dismissal was a lack of chemistry between Zorn and the coaching staff, and the lack of progress by quarterback Joe Flacco this season.
Zorn's release came after a seven-hour meeting with Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron in which they questioned Joe Flacco's development this season, the source said.
A little over a week ago, rumors were swirling that the Browns might be interested in hiring Zorn as their offensive coordinator due to Zorn's former connection to Mike Holmgren: he was the Seahawks' quarterbacks coach from 2001 to 2007. This news opens the door a little more for Cleveland though, because if they had wanted to interview Zorn for a quarterbacks coach position or an offensive coordinator position, they would have need the Ravens' permission. Now they are free to bring him aboard under either, or maybe even both positions, if they desire to.
