Former Browns Head Coach Lands Coordinator Job With Titans

A former head coach of the Cleveland Browns has landed a coordinator position with the Tennessee Titans. It might not be the coach you are thinking of though -- it is Chris Palmer, the man who led Cleveland from 1999-2000. His last major role was as the offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans from 2002-2005. Since then, he has been a quarterbacks coach for the Cowboys and Giants before spending last year as the head coach of Hartford's UFL team.

"Chris has a wealth of experience as a coordinator and a coach," Munchak said. "He is a great teacher of the game and has been around a variety of good coaches and winning football programs. He has helped develop many good quarterbacks and understands what that process is like, as he raised their games to a high level over time."

Former Browns head coach Eric Mangini was rumored to be Tennessee's defensive coordinator a couple of weeks ago, but it looks like that position will be filled by Jerry Gray.
