This was posted a couple of days ago in a report by ESPN, but I was just pointed to the link by our SB Nation Cleveland site. In an annual survey put out by the NFL Players Association, players were asked to rank the best grass fields and artificial playing fields in the league.
There are 18 team with grass surfaces, and Cleveland ranks near the bottom at No. 16. The best grass can be found in Arizona, but that didn't help the play of Cardinals quarterback Derek Anderson this season. Surprisingly, the Pittsburgh Steelers' grass field ranked 15th, just ahead of the Browns. Chicago and Oakland are the only teams listed below Cleveland.
