As much as we need help on the defensive line, I have really been getting "giddy' about the thought of the Cleveland Browns drafting LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson come April, the same way I was "giddy" over the thought of getting Eric Berry last year (the Chiefs ended up drafting him before Cleveland was on the clock). He will be a hot commodity, and while some are calling him the best defensive prospect in this year's draft, the mock draft projections for him seem to be ranging anywhere from No. 2 overall to No. 7 overall.
The Browns are reportedly having a private workout with Peterson on Wednesday, March 15, according to the National Football Post. Hopefully they like what they see, because a starting unit featuring Peterson and Joe Haden makes the rest of our defense better too.
In other big-player meeting news, the Browns are scheduled to have a two-day meet with linebacker Von Miller in April, according to ESPN. I'd probably feel a little empty if the Browns went with a linebacker at No. 6 overall after all of the talk about a receiver, defensive lineman, or cornerback.
