With the 23rd pick in the 2011 Dawgs By Nature Community Mock Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select...

I am actually in school for the Marine Corps right now in Quantico, VA, so this is going to be short and sweet. The Eagles have two major needs: offensive linemen and cornerback. Here the team picks Carimi to give more support to Michael Vick and the potent Eagles offense. Philadelphia gave up a ton of sacks last year and still scored a lot of points. With Carimi in place they have the opportunity to be even more dangerous. DB Jimmy Smith from Colorado may have also made sense here but with added protection the Eagles will be able to simply out-gun their opponents.

An offensive tackle in the first round from Wisconsin? Hmmm, not too sure if that has ever worked out for anyone. The offensive tackles are just flying off the board now, and I have a feeling that the same thing will happen come April (all of the tackles being taken in a row). The thing I wonder is how tough it will be for an offensive tackle to block for a mobile guy like Michael Vick in his rookie season, trying to balance that element out with the higher class of defensive line talent in the NFL.
