CB Brandon Burton Worked Out for Cleveland

New, comment

According to NFL.com's Gil Brandt, Cleveland Browns defensive backs coach Jerome Henderson worked out Utah cornerback Brandon Burton on Wednesday.

Burton decided to leave school early to enter the NFL Draft. He is expected to be a 3rd or 4th round pick. He has good size at 5-11, 188 pounds, but he isn't the fastest cornerback in the class, running a 4.50 and a 4.58 at his Pro Day.

The Salt Lake Tribune had some reactions from Burton's Pro Day performance and whether he regretted coming out one year early:

"I talked with everyone and my coaches supported me and I think it was the right thing to do," he said. He was happy with his efforts Tuesday and felt his 40 time was better than the 4.5 at the combine.

What does everyone think? If the Browns pass on a cornerback for the first two rounds, is Burton someone you would like to see the Browns add to their secondary? Would he be enough of an impact player to help this secondary?

I'll have another updated cumulative list of all the players the Browns have shown a confirmed interest in tomorrow.
