Ulrich: TE Evan Moore Recovering from Hernia Surgery

According to the Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich via Twitter, Cleveland Browns tight end Evan Moore had some surgery after the season was over:

Just got off the phone with TE Evan Moore. He said he had surgery on hernia in January, recovery went well and he feels good.

Moore played in 12 games last season but was often dealing with a muscular issue in his hip/groin area. The team placed him on the injured reserve mid-way through December, but he missed the the final four games of the season. Moore finished the year with 16 catches for 322 yards, but many fans felt he was heavily underused in the offense. Hopefully that can change next season under new head coach Pat Shurmur. For not having a lot of receiving talent, Shurmur seemed to do a decent job at getting some production from three no-name tight ends playing for the St. Louis Rams.
